Where does the passion come from? Do it without eating

Popular yoga asanas require practicing on an empty stomach. Generally, you should not eat for two hours before or after practicing. Some yoga asanas require you not to eat for three hours before practicing.

You cannot eat two hours before practicing yoga, and practice yoga for one hour. Under this requirement, practitioners can only practice yoga in the third hour before meals and the third hour after meals. According to people's general meal times and modern people's work and rest habits, it is difficult for people to find the right time to go to yoga studios and gyms to take yoga classes.

Most people are still sleeping three hours before breakfast. If they have breakfast at 7 o'clock, it is 4 o'clock in the morning, and if they have breakfast at 8 o'clock, it is 5 o'clock in the morning. Getting up to practice yoga at this time is impossible for most modern people. Three hours after breakfast, they must be at work. The third hour before and after lunch is of course also working hours. The third hour before dinner, people are usually still at work, and the third hour after dinner, yoga studios and gyms are closed.

In this case, if you want to meet the dietary requirements for practicing yoga and have time to practice in yoga studios and gyms, only people who do not need to work can do it. People who need to work to support their families have to disrupt their normal eating times and habits to accommodate them, and many yoga practitioners become dizzy with hunger as a result. Chaotic, abnormal, irregular diet and frequent hunger will inevitably cause damage to the function of the human digestive system.

One of the most important reasons why yoga is so popular is that it is said to help lose weight. Yoga poses do not have the function of losing weight, and few people succeed in losing weight through yoga. The few who lose weight through yoga are usually starved by the dietary requirements of yoga. Many people suffer from damaged digestive systems and gastrointestinal diseases.

Now one thing is clear: the success of a few people losing weight through yoga is due to hunger and digestive system diseases caused by yoga practice, and has nothing to do with yoga poses.

As mentioned before, you cannot eat or drink for two hours before and after practicing yoga. This is a general requirement. In order to achieve better weight loss results, it is required that you must not eat or drink for three hours before and after practicing yoga. Add the one hour of yoga practice, which means a total of seven hours without eating or drinking. You must also strictly control your food intake and eat vegetarian food, which is the so-called yoga diet. Doing physical activities like yoga on an empty stomach, coupled with controlling food intake and eating a vegetarian diet, will quickly break down your body. As long as you can hold on, it won't be difficult to lose weight with this combination of internal and external attacks. But it is very harmful to health.

So how do you control and manage your diet when practicing yoga? You cannot practice yoga when you are full, nor when you are too hungry. It is just right to be neither too hungry nor too full. As for how long you should fast before practicing yoga, there is no need to set a rigid limit of two or three hours. For the same meal, eating a lot of meat and fish cannot be compared with the so-called slimming diet of eating a few leaves of vegetables, a hundred or eighty grains of rice, and a sip of soup. The former takes a long time to digest, while the latter disappears in a short while. As long as you can maintain a state of neither hunger nor fullness while practicing yoga, there is no problem in drinking an appropriate amount of water, beverages, milk, etc. half an hour before practice. After the practice, as long as the body returns to normal, you can eat normally. Half an hour is enough.
