Because the energy consumed by practicing yoga on an empty stomach comes from fat, not muscle, while if you practice after a meal, the energy consumed often comes from the carbohydrates you just eat. It is important to allow the body to obtain energy from stored fat in order to maximize fat loss.

Practicing yoga in the morning can also increase your metabolic rate for the whole day. Generally, it only takes about 30 minutes of practice. I usually like to practice 6 sun salutations in the morning, and then combine it with a few side waist slimming exercises, such as triangle pose, triangle side stretch, etc.

However, it is important to note that being empty-stomach does not mean being hungry. If you feel hungry, you can drink some liquid food such as milk and honey before practicing. Do not do any exercise when you are hungry, otherwise it will cause harm to your body.

2. Adopt a low-carbohydrate diet or do not eat meat within 10 days after your period

From my personal experience, you can either not eat carbohydrates or not eat meat, you can choose one of the two.

The carbohydrates mentioned here are grains and sugars, and do not include fresh fruits and vegetables, and starchy foods (sweet potatoes, peonies, beans), but you should still eat less starchy foods. Meat does not include fish, shrimp and other seafood, but you should also pay attention to supplementing protein because your body still needs energy and nutrition. Protein can keep you full for a long time, does not easily cause muscle loss, and helps break down fat.

I would also like to remind you that this should not take too long; 10 days is enough, and you must persist to the end and complete it in one go. After all, it is a good deal to use 10 days of control every month in exchange for the remaining 20 days of freedom and a slim figure. At least I am satisfied.

3. Drink plenty of water (12-16 glasses)

The usual advice of drinking 8 glasses of water a day should be increased during weight loss. Try to drink more, don’t drink coffee, you can drink more green tea and oolong tea. Drinking plenty of water can help the body eliminate toxic substances and also help "melt" fat. Milk and soy milk cannot be considered water, but if you don't drink 12-16 cups or so, they can make up the number. At this time, you will feel that you have to go to the toilet very often, which is also a way to force yourself to get up and move more, haha.

4. Eat some food every 2.5 to 3 hours

It's what the saying "eat small, frequent meals" means 5 small meals a day instead of 3 large meals. This way you won’t feel too hungry. Of course, don’t eat too much at every meal, try to keep it balanced. This is more difficult to do at work, so you can bring more yogurt, milk, and fruits to eat (roasted unsalted soybeans are a good snack choice).
