Can eating less and exercising more help you lose weight?

Can eating less and exercising more help you lose weight?

Some people may think that they can lose weight by eating less and exercising more. In fact, this idea has some truth to it, but it also has great limitations. This is mainly because, if we eat very little every day but exercise a lot, the body's consumption will be very large and nutrition will not be effectively supplied. Although the weight will decrease, the physical fitness will also decline, which will lead to illness.

Fasting and vicious dieting are most likely to rebound. Some people are curious why they only eat a little but still gain weight? This is because fat consumes calories effectively. If you don’t exercise, the calories from food cannot be completely metabolized, and the fat that can’t be lost will be stored on your body with interest. Maybe you have already tried various weight loss secrets, but you always comfort yourself during the weight loss process by saying, "I've worked so hard for so long, so what's the harm in eating a little more!" If you think so, you are very wrong.

The experience of constantly cycling between "dieting" and "failure" in weight loss will keep the body in a state of "enduring hunger" for a long time, affecting the function of the hypothalamic satiety center in the brain, making it impossible to judge when one is "really full". Therefore, after losing weight, one often eats more than before but is still not satisfied.

A low-calorie diet requires exercise. Once people want to lose weight, the first thing that comes to their mind is to eat less, thinking that reducing calories will make them thinner. Some people even eat only one meal a day or reduce their food intake to a very low calorie level, filling their stomachs with boiled vegetables or one or two slices of bread. However, the latest research on dieting and weight loss shows that people who eat one meal a day with a total calorie content of 500 calories and those who eat three meals a day with a total calorie content of 1,000 calories lose weight to the same extent and speed. Eating less does not make people lose weight faster.

After reading the above introduction, everyone has understood that when losing weight, you must not diet excessively. Otherwise, although you can lose weight, your body will develop various diseases due to malnutrition. In addition, if your three meals a day are not regular, or if you eat one less meal a day, it can easily lead to gastrointestinal diseases. For example, stomach pain, bloating, and excessive stomach acid are largely caused by your irregular meals.
