How to practice Muay Thai kicking

Men like to play very "manly" sports, such as fighting, Muay Thai, etc. Muay Thai is a type of martial arts and an important martial art in Thailand. There are many witchcraft halls in China that offer this sport. Muay Thai practice includes many aspects, such as boxing and footwork. Learning must start from the entry level, and the movements are also simple to complex. When you practice to a certain level, you can participate in competitions, which is already a very high level. So how do you practice Muay Thai leg techniques?

Muay Thai's kicking techniques are tricky and fierce, with many variations and combination patterns. This just proves the principle in Chinese culture that a three-kick combination can cause more damage than a three-punch combination, and that the lethality and killing range of one kick exceeds that of one punch. The principle of applying leg techniques is to use the leading leg to probe or block the opponent's kicking technique as a prelude, and then use the rear leg to quickly sweep the opponent's vital points in an arc route. Since Muay Thai referred to the leg techniques of Western boxing, ancient Greek fighting techniques and the Taekwondo system from East Asia when it was modernized, people of insight tried to preserve the original ancient Muay Thai boxing techniques and integrate them into the leg techniques and grappling techniques of ancient Muay Thai boxing techniques through Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do, China's Southern Boxing and Northern Leg Kung Fu and Sanda, ancient martial arts of Japan, Ryukyu and the Korean Peninsula, Western boxing, and anti-joint fighting techniques of ancient Greek fighting techniques, so that Muay Thai fighters can learn from them when they are studying ancient Muay Thai boxing techniques.

At the same time, they spent a lot of effort to send people abroad to introduce the street fighting leg techniques and defense system of the Western boxing system, and added other fighting techniques based on leg techniques, such as Chinese Sanda, karate from the Ryukyu Kingdom near the Chinese mainland, which is now the Okinawa Islands, the original leg techniques of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do from the United States, the Korean International Taekwondo that has a wide base in the world, Korean World Taekwondo, Japanese Kickboxing, Dutch Kickboxing, American Kickboxing based on the three major systems of Okinawa Karate and leg techniques, African Capoula Kickboxing and Brazilian Capoula Kickboxing, ancient Greek martial arts, and the leg techniques and grappling techniques of the combat sambo popular in the former Soviet Union, namely Russia, to match the footwork that was later added into Muay Thai footwork and was introduced from various fighting techniques. Therefore, the two types of leg techniques, "kicking kick" and "sweeping kick", that we see are the fruits of the painstaking efforts of the predecessors in the boxing world after verification and improvement. They are also the two most basic types of leg techniques in Muay Thai, which were promoted day by day under the strong recommendation of the predecessors in the boxing world and then guided kickboxing and Muay Thai. The leg techniques of Muay Thai are gradually approaching the hybrid of North Korean International Taekwondo and South Korean World Taekwondo, and are gradually sublimating to the highest level of the hybrid of the two in terms of technology.

1. Sweeping kick: Take the right sweeping kick as an example. The method is to lift the right foot, twist the body to the left, use the forefoot of the left supporting leg as the axis, rub the ground with the heel and rotate inward to coordinate with the body twisting to the left, and hit the target in an arc with the right leg, with the force reaching the instep and tibia. Special emphasis is placed here on twisting the body to the left and internal rotation of the supporting heel to make the body coordinated. When kicking, boxers can also choose to use a series of kicks to attack, and can randomly choose to use a single leg or double legs to sweep out continuously; they can choose up and down or left and right, which is more practical than Taekwondo.

2. Kicking technique: Taking the right leg kick as an example, the method is to lift the right knee to the same height as the chest, twist the body slightly to the left, use the forefoot as the fulcrum and rotate the heel inward, and kick the right foot forward. The supporting foot is shaped like a sweeping leg, with a slightly smaller range of rotation.

How to practice Muay Thai leg techniques? Muay Thai leg technique practice is very important. In the learning process, you must first learn simple movements and then put the movements together.
