What is the difference between aerobic fitness and anaerobic fitness?

Aerobic fitness and anaerobic fitness are relative. The most fundamental difference between them is that aerobic fitness can provide the body with sufficient oxygen, thereby playing a certain preventive and therapeutic role in many diseases, while anaerobic fitness will consume a lot of physical energy during the exercise, making the body exhausted. The following editor will introduce some important differences between aerobic fitness and anaerobic fitness.

Looking at various fitness methods and programs, they can be attributed to three basic forms of exercise according to their energy metabolism and energy supply methods: aerobic exercise, anaerobic exercise and aerobic and anaerobic mixed exercise. Aerobic exercise is a form of long-term, medium-to-low intensity exercise, which mainly consumes body fat through fat metabolism and thus can help lose weight; anaerobic exercise is a form of short-term, high-intensity exercise, which mainly consumes a large amount of muscle glycogen and liver glycogen through ATP, creatine phosphate metabolism and sugar metabolism, so it cannot lose weight.

Whether it is aerobic exercise, anaerobic exercise or mixed metabolic exercise mainly relies on laboratory evaluation standards and on-site monitoring indicators. The high and low speed of heart rate is the most commonly used on-site indicator. No matter which fitness exercise you do, as an aerobic exercise, your heart rate should generally be around 130 beats per minute. The golden heart rate and heart rate of 130 are for aerobic exercise and burning body fat. Although each person's basic heart rate and maximum heart rate are different, the heart rate for aerobic exercise should not exceed 130 beats/minute, which is 50%-60% of the body's maximum oxygen uptake. In fact, when the heart rate reaches 150 beats/minute, the body begins mixed metabolism. If the heart rate reaches 160 beats/minute or even above 180 beats/minute, it indicates that its exercise metabolism is carried out in an anaerobic exercise state. Only gymnastics that lasts for more than 30 minutes and keeps the heart rate below 140 beats per minute can carry out aerobic metabolism, burn fat and achieve the effect of losing weight. It should be pointed out that aerobic exercises cannot ignore individual differences such as age and physical condition. During exercise, you should always sweat slightly but not profusely. Considering that women's hemoglobin levels are lower than men's, the intensity and duration of aerobic exercise can be slightly reduced and extended.

Whether it is aerobic fitness or anaerobic fitness, they will have certain benefits to people's health at the beginning, and there is no very clear dividing line between aerobic fitness and anaerobic fitness. When aerobic fitness is too intense or lasts too long, it may also be transformed into nutritional fitness and cause some harm to the body.
