What are the precautions for Pilates?

Pilates is a sport that combines Western and Eastern sports concepts. The movements are relatively soothing and cause almost no damage to the joints and muscles, but they can stretch the muscles well, making the body more comfortable and the figure more beautiful, so many people now like to practice Pilates. But there are still some things to keep in mind when practicing Pilates:

1. When practicing, it is best to wear loose and comfortable clothes and take off shoes and socks, because the exercise movements are basically completed on the mat.

2. Pay attention to the depth of your breathing. The breathing speed should not be too fast. Keep it basically consistent with the movements. Do not hold your breath during training. Exhaling during exercise and inhaling when still can help relieve the pressure inside the body caused by muscle exertion.

3. When practicing, move slowly and try to prolong the muscle control time to consume more energy and achieve the goal of weight loss. Master the posture and try to feel the stimulation that the movement brings to your body for as long as possible. During the movement, the abdomen and torso are relatively fixed.

4. It is advisable for beginners to practice 2-3 times a week, and each movement should be based on their own situation.

5. It is best not to eat 2 hours before exercise. Most of the Pilates movements require the abdominal muscles to actively exert force, either to stabilize or to assist in the completion of the movement. If you eat too much before exercise, it will affect the mobility of your abdominal muscles and even cause discomfort such as bloating. There are a lot of rolling or leg raises in Pilates, which can be very uncomfortable on a full stomach.

Because Pilates is a form of muscle stretching that can achieve the purpose of body beauty, shaping and weight loss, so when doing Pilates, do not have a full stomach. It is best not to eat two hours before practice to avoid gastrointestinal discomfort. Do not eat within two hours after exercise to avoid excessive absorption by the body, which will result in weight gain instead of weight loss.
