1. First, learn to hold your breath

When learning to swim, you must first be brave. When you are in shallow water, you can practice holding your breath so that you can float. When you are on the water, take a deep breath and don't let go. Then close your eyes, pinch your nose and sink into the water. Don't breathe during this time and don't be afraid of water. Slowly relax your body. At this time, you will feel your legs slowly floating up, and then your whole body will float up. As long as you relax your body and hold your breath, you will float up. This is because the density of the human body is slightly greater than water, and you can float well with air in your lungs.

2. Master body coordination

After you have almost finished practicing holding your breath, slowly stretch out your hands and feet, gradually bring your body closer to the water surface, bring your arms forward and together and then paddle backward, coordinating the movement of your feet, and you can swim in the water. You can slowly exhale underwater, and when you have almost finished exhaling, you can stand up to breathe and then swim again. This is just simple swimming, and the posture may not be standard. If you want to learn more complex swimming styles such as breaststroke and freestyle, you also need to master the movement of your hands and feet and the timing of breathing, which requires further learning.

3. Practice more

Learning simple swimming may take a few hours or even days. It is just a simple exercise underwater. If you want to make your swimming posture better and master more breathing techniques, you need to practice more. Just knowing the theory may not work underwater.
