Since Tai Chi evolved from martial arts, its movements require conscious preparation when accumulating strength, and being calm and solid when exerting strength. When we push a heavy object, we often shout "Ha", which is reverse abdominal breathing consciously or unconsciously. The so-called reverse abdominal breathing is to consciously lift the anus, tighten the buttocks, shrink the kidneys, and retract the lower abdomen when inhaling, so that the diaphragm rises and the chest expands at the same time; when exhaling, the lower abdomen relaxes and bulges naturally. Breathing should be even, deep and long, exhale completely and inhale fully.

It is natural to choose reverse abdominal breathing when practicing Tai Chi. The anal lifting exercise is to regularly lift the anus upwards and then relax. The lifting and relaxing is the anal lifting exercise. The ani-lift exercise trains the muscles of your pelvic floor and is very effective for patients with hemorrhoids, rectal prolapse, pregnant women, obese people and those suffering from long-term constipation. It can improve frequent urination, urinary incontinence and lower abdominal distension and pain. Everyone can practice it. Kegel exercises can promote local blood circulation and prevent anal and perianal diseases such as hemorrhoids.
