How to use Sanda bandage

Sanda is a very traditional martial arts competitive event. This competitive sport places great emphasis on confrontation and is also highly technical. Sanda also has very good self-defense and actual combat functions. When we practice Sanda or participate in Sanda competitions, we often need to use Sanda bandages. The reason for using this kind of bandage is to avoid accidental fractures during Sanda competitions or practice. Here I will introduce how to use Sanda bandages.

The bandage behind the gloves is for boxing, and only the bandage is for Muay Thai and Sanda. 3 meters is enough, and 5 meters needs to be wrapped to the center of the forearm. Try not to use bandages when fighting with others, because the force will be very great, and the fist will be stretched very tightly and the force will be sufficient. Moreover, it is very easy to scratch the opponent's face and brow bone when the bandage hits the face, which is very dangerous. Bandages are generally used to hit sandbags, which are more sensitive. It will hurt when hitting sandbags with a lot of sand and stones. Therefore, using bandages is not like wearing gloves which will damage the outer skin of the gloves. Bandages will not damage the outer skin of the gloves, and they protect the fists.

Sanda is a martial arts event in which two people follow certain rules and use martial arts offensive and defensive techniques such as kicking, punching and throwing to subdue each other with bare hands. It is an important part of Chinese martial arts. It is divided into ancient Sanda (strong lethality) and modern Sanda (with more restrictions). As the earliest development of Sanda, ancient Sanshou should be able to fight against single person and weapons or multiple people, using head, fingers, palms, fists, elbows, shoulders, knees, legs, hips, arms and other parts to attack. The main techniques are hitting, kicking, grabbing, falling and wrestling, including elbow and knee techniques.

It should be noted here that although the Sanda bandage looks very short, it plays a very important role. If you don't wear this kind of bandage during Sanda practice or Sanda competition, it can easily cause fractures or muscle contusions. If you are a beginner in Sanda, you must strictly follow the coach's requirements to wrap this bandage.
