The heart theory: It is mainly because the human heart is located on the left side of the body, so the center of gravity tends to be biased to the left, and the center of gravity will also be biased to the left foot. The left foot then plays a supporting role, so it is easier to turn left.

Brain dominance theory: the left brain controls the activities of the right half of the body, and the right brain controls the activities of the left half of the body. In daily life, most people have developed the habit of using their right hand to work, write, and do things. However, the left brain is mainly used for high-level thinking activities, which greatly increases the burden on the left brain. In order to maintain the balance of the whole body, the human body will automatically strengthen the function of the left leg which is controlled by the right brain.

The difference between left and right legs: The left and right sides of the human foot each have their own functions. The left foot shares the function of supporting the center of gravity; the right foot shares the function of controlling the direction and speed. In this way, if your center of gravity is biased to the left and you use your right foot to push the ground to increase your speed, then it is normal to run in a counterclockwise direction.

Centrifugal force theory: The earth's inertia will cause centrifugal force during its rotation. In the northern hemisphere, this deflection force is to the right, causing the water to form a counterclockwise vortex as it flows downward. The IAAF stipulates that running should be done in a counterclockwise direction because most competitions are held in the northern hemisphere. If the human body does not conform to the deflection of the earth's rotation, it will be easily injured by the uneven centrifugal force and the deflection of the earth's rotation.
