We are now under a lot of pressure in work and life, and because of this pressure we have no way to relieve stress in normal times. Therefore, there are many outdoor sports enthusiasts. These people often go out to play, which is particularly exciting and thrilling. Some go back to the mountains to explore on their own, and others go to very remote places. Of course, in these outdoor sports, the knowledge of first aid is indispensable. So what is the common sense of first aid for outdoor sports? Let’s find out together. 1. First aid treatment of trauma: Trauma is mainly divided into closed trauma (contusion, sprain, etc.) and open trauma (abrasions, puncture wounds, cuts, lacerations, etc.). Treatment: Closed contusions and sprains can be treated with Yunnan Baiyao spray, hot compresses, physical therapy, manipulation, and massage. You can also take orally or apply medicinal lotions, medicated wine, powders, and pills to treat tendons and bones. Larger open wounds must be treated with surgical debridement and a thorough examination by a physician. Smaller open wounds should first be rinsed with sterile saline (or clean water on site) to remove foreign objects from the wound, then apply red mercurochrome to the wound and cover it with sterile gauze. If there is external bleeding and subcutaneous bleeding, you can use your fingers or dressings to compress and bandage to stop the bleeding, and fix it with a bandage; for pain, you can take indomethacin, pyraclostrobin, etc. 2. First aid for heat stroke: In summer, people sweat a lot during outdoor activities, which consumes a lot of water and salt in the body. If they are not replenished in time, they will suffer from heat stroke or collapse. The main symptoms of heatstroke include: headache, dizziness, tinnitus, nausea, vomiting, irritability, and in severe cases, convulsions, respiratory and heart dysfunction. When heatstroke occurs, the patient should be asked to stop exercising immediately, move to a cool, ventilated place, elevate the head, and undress; the patient can drink cold drinks or salt and sugar water and apply a cold towel to the head, or place ice bags or ice cubes on the patient's head, armpits, thighs, etc.; if conditions permit, the patient can be placed in water at 4°C to 18°C, and the skin of the limbs can be massaged with a towel to dilate the skin blood vessels, accelerate blood circulation, and promote heat dissipation. Patients with severe conditions should be sent to the hospital in time. 3. First aid for drowning: Observe the breathing and heartbeat carefully. For those whose breathing and heartbeat have stopped, perform artificial respiration immediately and call an ambulance in time. Now that we understand the common sense of first aid for outdoor sports, we can play outside with confidence. Such opportunities to get close to nature are rare, and it will give our bodies a lot of exercise. Both our perseverance and endurance will be greatly improved, and it will release and relieve our stress, which is more beneficial to our physical health, but safety is the most important thing. |
