1. Before practicing yoga, if you feel any discomfort or you have just recovered from an illness, are pregnant, or have a minor heart disease, you must consult a doctor before practicing.

2. Practice on an empty stomach. Yoga practice should be done 3 hours after a meal. Because during yoga practice, the body's blood is concentrated on local muscles or organs to adapt to the needs of exercise. If you practice yoga shortly after eating, it will reduce the blood supply to the digestive system and affect the digestion of food. If your body really needs it, you can supplement it with some liquid drinks, such as yogurt, honey, juice, warm water, etc. Try not to eat within 1 hour after practicing.

3. Empty your bowels and bladder before practicing.

4. Wear loose and elastic clothes (if conditions permit, you don’t need to wear underwear to reduce external restraints); watches, glasses, and accessories should be removed, and practice barefoot.

5. Before practicing, you must warm up your muscles to relax them. It is easy to get injured if you practice with tense muscles.

6. During the practice, breathe through your nose except when there are special requirements to breathe through your mouth.

7. Complete the movement slowly, stretch within a safe range, and allow your body to feel a little pain, but do not exceed your limit.

8. The muscles tense when you inhale and relax when you exhale, so you must coordinate your breathing when doing asanas.

9. In principle, exhalation should be longer than inhalation.

10. When practicing, pay attention and stay inward, and try to feel the feeling of stretching your body. This will help you relax your body and mind and avoid injuries during practice.

11. When completing each posture, you must remain still and regulate your breathing (one inhalation and one exhalation is called a "breath"), so that your body and mind are in a state of stillness, allowing your inner peace to be fully revealed.

12. Do not ask others for help to complete the movements, or chat while doing them; maintain a regular, deep breathing rhythm.

13. Don't be impatient for success. When practicing, make sure each step is clear, proceed step by step, and try and practice according to the rules.

14. Both inhalation and exhalation must be slow and calm, feel the breath flowing continuously, and maintain deep and slow breathing.

15. Do not do the movements vigorously; strictly follow the teacher's instructions. Even if you feel extreme pain or tension in your muscles, don't stop immediately after a strong pull.

16. Don’t set excessive demands on yourself, respect your own feelings, and always do yoga movements according to your actual abilities. Remember: yoga is not competitive. If you do these classes with a friend, even if you envy their progress, don't be tempted if the moves aren't for you. Yoga classes are for you. Compare your progress to your last practice and find your own pace.

17. Avoid taking a shower immediately after practicing. After yoga practice, the pores of the skin are open. Bathing at this time will not only wash away some secretions and vital energy (energy) that are beneficial to the body, but the stimulation of sudden changes in temperature may also harm the body and cause disease.

18. After practice, the body needs some time to return to normal. Even if you only practice for a short time, be sure to end your practice with a cool-down. The longer you relax, the more you regain your balance and calm.

These are the precautions of yoga. In actual practice, we generally recommend eating something at 4-5 pm, but not too much, and avoid carbohydrates. After practicing yoga and returning home, there are two types: 1. If you need to lose weight, don't eat, drink 30 ml of yogurt on an empty stomach, and eat appropriate amounts of fruit. 2. If you don't need to lose weight, eat small amounts of food, control nutrition, avoid overeating, and eat 30% full.

There are many things to pay attention to when practicing yoga. Generally speaking, it is best not to eat too much before practicing yoga, or practice an hour after eating. After practicing yoga, do not eat immediately. If you eat immediately, it will increase the burden on your body. Of course, if you need to lose weight, it is best to eat some fruit.
