What are the core muscles

We often hear about exercising the core muscles, but we don’t know what the core muscles are. In fact, the core muscles are mainly a general term for a series of muscle groups surrounding the human spine and pelvis. Generally speaking, human muscle groups mainly include the rectus abdominis, transverse abdominal muscles, back muscles, etc. In addition to these major muscles, the core also includes some muscle groups of the ribs and pelvic floor.

The core muscles refer to the important muscle groups located in the front and back of the abdomen that surround the torso and are responsible for protecting the stability of the spine. They include the transverse abdominal muscles, pelvic floor muscles, and lower back muscles. It is mainly composed of the rectus abdominis, oblique abdominal muscles, lower back muscles and erector spinae muscles.

Core muscle training is the focus of almost all sports. No matter how strong a person looks, if his core muscles are weak, he is ultimately just an empty frame. If the core muscles are not well trained, no matter how much you train other parts of the body, the whole person will still look like he has an incorrect posture and is hunched over.

With the help of local exercises to train the core muscles, in addition to reducing fat accumulation, you can also strengthen the muscle endurance of the core muscles, help the core muscles to more effectively support the upper body, and achieve the purpose of improving posture. Many classic movements such as deadlifts, squats, push-ups, handstand push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups, hanging leg raises, etc. will exercise the core muscles.

Core muscle group training: deadlift, squat, push-up, handstand push-up, pull-up, sit-up, hanging leg raise and other movements, do 3 sets of each, and do 10RM for each (for example, one weight can only be done 5 times, which is 5RM). Just practice one or two of these movements a day.

The core muscles play a decisive role in our body activities. Any abnormality in the core muscles will lead to abnormalities in the body's energy conduction, explosive power, and body stability. The strength of the core muscles is directly related to a person's physical fitness. The core muscles of athletes are much stronger than those of ordinary people. The strength of this core muscle group can be enhanced through acquired training.
