What should you pay attention to after practicing yoga?

There are many ways to exercise. Some people choose to run to keep fit, some choose to swim to keep fit, and some choose to do yoga to keep fit. Compared with the first two types of exercise, yoga has the characteristics of low intensity and unlimited practice venues. However, yoga requires high accuracy of movements, and you also need to relax after practicing. Today I will tell you what to do after practicing yoga.

It is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach. Do not overload the stomach. Yoga postures are centered on the human spine, performing stretching and squeezing exercises forward, backward, left and right. Excessive stomach burden will cause you to experience nausea, headache, chest tightness during practice, and in severe cases, even vomiting. Do not eat large amounts of food within 1 hour after practicing. Because right after exercise, the stomach and intestines are in a state of relaxation and rest, eating immediately will put too much burden on the stomach and intestines.

In addition, after exercising, the blood in the body is distributed to the bones, muscles and other parts of the body. Eating food immediately will increase the burden on the heart.

Do not take a bath within 10 minutes after exercise. Wait until your heart rate returns to normal before taking a bath. Moreover, when practicing yoga, the body temperature, especially the skin temperature, rises, which increases the secretion of sweat glands and sebaceous glands. Sebum and sweat form a sebum film, which can nourish the skin very well. Bathing immediately will destroy this beneficial substance.

After completing each set of movements, you should regulate your breathing and relax. During the practice, if you feel uncomfortable, such as cramps, twitching, nausea, headache, dizziness, or tingling in a certain part of the body, you should stop practicing immediately and sit or lie down to rest, breathing slowly until you feel back to normal. You can continue practicing if similar symptoms continue to occur.

Yoga can relax our body and mind very well. In this busy age, this is indeed a very good way to exercise. Long-term yoga can also increase the body's coordination and flexibility. However, if yoga movements are not performed properly, they may cause harm to the body. Therefore, you must be careful when practicing and not try to force yourself.
