Currently in some large and medium-sized cities, practicing yoga is becoming a "new favorite" for some people to exercise and cultivate their character. Yoga experts remind that one should pay attention to four aspects when practicing yoga.

Indian yoga master, executive director of the Asian Yoga Association and training director of the China Yoga Instructor Training Institute, Wickham, said that yoga can improve the health of the brain, spine, glands and internal organs, thereby increasing vitality.

The currently popular types of yoga practices can be roughly divided into women's yoga, men's yoga, children's yoga and yoga for middle-aged and elderly people, which are suitable for people of all ages. However, Wickham reminds that the following issues should be noted when practicing yoga:

First of all, yoga is suitable for practicing on an empty stomach, and it is best not to eat within two hours before practicing. If you feel particularly hungry, you can eat some liquid food (such as milk) or a small snack half an hour before practicing yoga. Rest for half an hour after exercise before eating. It is best to eat fresh vegetables, fruits and soy products, eat a small amount of meat, and do not overeat. At the same time, it is not advisable to eat fried, barbecued, or spicy foods, and drink less cola and other beverages.

Secondly, clothing should be loose and comfortable, allowing the body to stretch, lift, and bend. Take off belts, jewelry, glasses and other items, practice barefoot, sit, lie down or kneel on a mat or carpet to complete the movements, and do not practice on slippery surfaces to avoid spraining your body.

Again, do what you can, don't compare yourself with others, just do what you can tolerable. The focus of yoga practice is on the process rather than the result. At the same time, do not take a shower within half an hour after practicing to avoid the invasion of cold air, which will affect the effect of practice and your health.

Finally, Wickham reminded that children under the age of 6 should not practice yoga, otherwise it will have a certain impact on the children's bone development.
