What should you pay attention to when practicing yoga

Paying more attention to physical exercise in your life can keep your body in better condition. When exercising, there are many different ways to exercise. You can play basketball, football, practice yoga, ride a bike, etc. These exercise methods can all have a good effect on health care and health preservation. Among them, yoga is suitable for many people to practice. Both the elderly and children can practice yoga. So what should we pay attention to when practicing yoga? So let us introduce it below.

Time: Generally speaking, people practice yoga poses in the morning, noon, evening or before going to bed. In fact, you can practice at any time of the day as long as you are on an empty stomach. In other words, it is not advisable to practice yoga poses after a meal (within 3 hours). In the eyes of true yoga practitioners, 4 to 6 in the morning is the best time to practice yoga, because at this time the surroundings are quiet, the air is purest, gastrointestinal activity has basically stopped, and the brain has not yet become active, making it easy to enter a deep state of yoga practice.

Location: It is best to practice yoga in a clean, comfortable room with plenty of space to stretch your body and avoid being close to any furniture. The air in the room is fresh, flowing, and oxygen can be inhaled freely. It is best to place green plants or flowers, or play soft music to help relax your nerves.

Of course, you can also choose to practice in an open-air natural place, such as a garden or other place with a good environment. Never practice in strong winds, cold or polluted air, and do not practice under direct sunlight (except at dawn, because the light is soft at that time and good for health).

Clothing: When practicing yoga poses, you should wear loose and soft clothes, preferably cotton and linen. It must be breathable and the body must not be restricted during practice. Shoes must be taken off, and socks are best taken off as well (keep your feet warm when it's cold). Watches, glasses, belts and other accessories should also be removed.

Props: It is of course better to use a professional yoga mat when practicing yoga. When the ground is too hard or uneven, the yoga mat can act as a buffer and help you maintain balance. However, if you don’t have a professional yoga mat, a carpet or a blanket folded in half will also work. Do not practice on a floor that is too hard or a bed that is too soft, and be careful not to slip. Beginners can also use some props to assist in practicing certain postures. Available props include yoga bricks, yoga ropes, and even walls, tables and chairs. Many postures can use corresponding props to help you practice step by step, and at the same time more accurately grasp the feeling that each posture conveys to the body.

Bathing: Do not practice yoga within 20 minutes before bathing, because yoga practice will make the body's senses extremely sensitive. If you give yourself the stimulation of hot and cold at this time, it will hurt your body and consume the energy stored in the body. It is not advisable to practice yoga within 20 minutes after bathing, because after bathing, blood circulation speeds up and muscles become soft. If you practice yoga immediately, it will not only easily cause physical injury, but also cause high blood pressure and increase the burden on the heart. Patients with heart disease, hypertension, hyperthyroidism and other diseases should pay special attention to this.

What do you need to pay attention to when practicing yoga? Just pay more attention to these aspects in normal times. In addition, you should eat more light foods and less greasy and spicy foods. Maintain a regular lifestyle and don't drink or smoke. If the body has symptoms of illness, then you must continue practicing only after the symptoms of the illness are cured, so that you can achieve good results.
