Sanda and boxing are both influential sports both at home and abroad. Many fans are obsessed with these two sports. Sanda is a martial arts event in which two people follow certain rules and use martial arts offensive and defensive techniques such as kicking, punching and throwing to subdue each other with bare hands. It is an important part of Chinese martial arts. It is divided into ancient Sanda (strong lethality) and modern Sanda (with more restrictions). As the earliest development of Sanda, ancient Sanshou can be used to fight against single people, weapons or multiple people, using head, fingers, palms, fists, elbows, shoulders, knees, legs, hips, arms and other parts of the body to attack. The main techniques are hitting, kicking, grabbing, falling and wrestling, including elbow and knee techniques. In fighting, it emphasizes surprise, not fancy tricks, but only practicality of winning. Modern Sanda is a common offensive and defensive technique that combines kicking, punching and throwing, using techniques such as straight punch, swinging punch, chopping punch, whip punch, whip kick, leg kick, kicking and throwing. There are no routines in Sanda, only single moves and combinations, and you have to counter each move accordingly.

Boxing is a contest of physical, technical and psychological strength between two athletes through the confrontation of their two fists. The specific form of boxing competition is that two people wear special soft gloves in a square rope-enclosed competition arena and engage in offensive and defensive confrontation according to certain rules and technical requirements. The weapons for attack and defense can only be two fists wearing special gloves, and the targets of attack and defense are limited to the opponent's body parts above the waist and hips. Boxing is called "the art of fighting".

Sanda has punches, kicks and throws, while boxing only has punches. The punches of Sanda and boxing (the punches of all martial arts are almost the same) are almost the same. The actual combat postures and footwork of Sanda and boxing are similar. The punching power of Sanda practitioners is generally not as good as that of boxing practitioners. After all, boxing only practices punches so the punching power can be said to be the greatest among all martial arts. The main essential difference between the two is that boxing is simply using fists, which requires very flexible steps, while Sanda, although using both fists and feet, still focuses more on leg techniques and throws!
