But there are also people who exercise but just don’t sweat. So, is this abnormal? What causes it?

There are about 3 million sweat glands distributed in the human body, which have the function of secreting sweat. The secretion of sweat can regulate the temperature of the human body and also excrete some metabolic waste. Under normal circumstances, the greater the intensity of exercise, the more sweat you will produce, but the amount of sweating during exercise varies from person to person. People with more sweat glands tend to sweat relatively more. The amount of water you drink before exercise also affects sweating. If you drink a lot of water before exercise, it will lead to an increase in body fluids and increased sweating. In addition, it also depends on the individual's physical fitness. People with strong physiques have healthier muscles and motor organs, and even if they do high-intensity exercise, it is effortless and they naturally sweat less. On the contrary, people with poor physical fitness will sweat profusely after a little activity.

If you don’t sweat during exercise, it could be due to:

1. Some people exercise for a long time and feel very hot inside, but they just don’t sweat. This is due to underdeveloped sweat glands. If you encounter this situation, it is recommended that you stop exercising immediately if you find that you are not sweating during exercise. Sweat depends on the secretion of sweat glands, and the number of sweat glands varies not only between genders but also between individuals.

2. How much you sweat also depends on your body fluid content. Some people have more body fluids and sweat more when exercising; conversely, they sweat less when exercising. The amount of body fluid is determined by the body fat content. The more fat you have, the less water you have.

3. This situation may be caused by exposure to wind and cold, imbalance of the Ying and Wei systems, loose pores, and insufficient body fluids; it may be induced or aggravated by factors such as a habit of spicy food, emotional frustration, and fatigue. It is recommended that you eat more fruits and drink more water.

If you don't sweat when exercising, one reason is that you're not exercising enough. In this case, there's no need to worry. Another reason is that there's something wrong with your body, such as underdeveloped sweat glands or a cold, which can cause you to sweat less. You should drink more water and eat more fruits so that you can sweat when exercising.
