Is walking useful for obese people to lose weight?

Walking is an extremely easy exercise for a young person because we cannot do without walking every day. Now that living standards have improved, many means of transportation have replaced walking. However, we still need to be good at walking. Walking more not only helps to circulate blood throughout the body, but also has the effect of losing weight. Walking is a very good exercise for the elderly. For example, going out for a walk after dinner is beneficial to avoid indigestion and is also good for physical health.

The correct way to walk for fitness is to keep your head and chest up, take big steps, and walk approximately 60 to 80 meters per minute. The upper limbs should swing with the rhythm of the steps, and the walking line should be straight, without turning left or right. Walk for half an hour to one hour every day. The intensity varies according to your physical condition, and it is generally appropriate to walk until you sweat slightly. You can see significant results as long as you persist for 3 weeks. If you have already planned to start brisk walking, you might as well try a few different walking styles, putting slimming legs first.

1. Ordinary walking method

Walk at a slow or moderate pace for 30 to 60 minutes each time, 2 to 3 times a day. Suitable for leisure in a beautiful place.

2. Fast walking method

Walk 5-7 kilometers per hour, and exercise for 30-60 minutes each time. When walking, keep your heart rate below 120 beats per minute, which can boost your spirits.

3. Quantitative walking method

Includes walking on both flat and sloping terrain. For example, walk 100 meters on a 3-degree slope, gradually increase to walking on a 5-degree slope for 15 minutes, and then walk on flat ground for 15 minutes.

4. Arm swing walking method

Swinging your arms rhythmically back and forth while walking can increase shoulder and thorax activity, and is suitable for people with respiratory diseases.

5. Abdominal massage and walking

Massaging the abdomen while walking is very beneficial for people with indigestion and gastrointestinal diseases.

Walking is a very good habit. Young people, old people and children should all take walks. As the saying goes, "Take a hundred steps after a meal and you will live to be ninety-nine." Walking can not only help digestion, but also lose weight, especially helps to slim down the legs. Since walking is a good thing for any of us, why not do it?
