Which yoga moves can help you lose weight?

Yoga is widely loved and praised by female friends because of its effects on body beauty, body shaping, weight loss and fitness. Regular yoga practice can make your body more graceful, your figure more symmetrical, your temperament more elegant, and your body healthier, so more and more women are joining the ranks of yoga practitioners. So, what yoga moves can help you lose weight?

1 Eagle

Sit on a chair or anywhere you can, pull in your stomach and chest, keep your legs together, cross your arms at 90 degrees in front of your chest, with your right arm above your left arm. Lock your arms tightly together, put your hands together with your fingertips pointing up, lift up with force, then switch arms and repeat.

Benefits: This move is effective in preventing carpal tunnel syndrome because it strengthens the shoulders, back muscles and triceps. What we did above is the arm eagle pose, and we can also do the leg eagle pose by crossing the legs and lifting them upwards.

2. One-legged lotus position

Relax your body, then straighten your chest and abdomen, close your eyes, lift one leg up, place your heel on the knee of the other leg, then use your elbows to hold your body with your palms facing up.

3. Mountain pose

Sit up straight with your stomach in, chest out, legs together and fingers crossed, and stretch your arms upward as far as you can, feeling the stretch. Slowly rotate your palms, stretching your arms, until your palms are facing the ceiling. Keep stretching and feel yourself growing taller. Hold on for a while and then return to the original position and relax.

Benefits: This movement can relax the shoulders and neck and stretch both sides of the body.

4 Twist

Sit up straight, lift your heels, and slowly twist your upper body to the right. Try your best to grab the back of the chair with your right hand, and place your right hand on the right side. Then switch to the other side.

Benefits: This exercise can stretch your spine well and exercise your oblique abdominal muscles.

If you want to lose weight through yoga practice, you can try the four poses introduced above. However, losing weight through yoga practice cannot be achieved overnight. It requires patience and long-term persistence. But for the sake of beauty, what reason do we have not to persist in exercising? When you first start practicing yoga, it is best to practice under the guidance of a professional coach, so that the effect will be better.
