Can I practice yoga during my period?

Every woman has to have her period. If she doesn't have her period, it means that her period is abnormal. If her period is not normal, it is the easiest to have problems. It is normal for women to have their period on time. When they have their period, many people always think about doing sports. The period itself is an abnormal time. So many people have questions about exercising during menstruation. Can you do yoga during your period?

Menstruation is a normal physiological phenomenon for women. The symptoms such as low back pain, abdominal pain, fatigue, etc. during menstruation are always unpleasant. When I was young, I often suffered from dysmenorrhea. Later, after I came into contact with yoga, I gradually tried to practice during my menstrual period (of course, I should practice selectively according to my physical condition).

After persisting for a period of time, I found that the practice was not as terrible as I had imagined. On the contrary, I felt that my body and spirit were much better than before I practiced yoga. The abdominal pain was also improved, so I continued to practice yoga during my menstruation. Over time, the dysmenorrhea phenomenon disappeared, and many symptoms of menstrual discomfort also gradually went away from me, and my facial complexion became better and better.

Therefore, unless there are special circumstances, it is still recommended that you practice yoga, which will have many benefits for the body. Practicing yoga will promote blood circulation throughout the body, nourish the spinal nerves, balance the internal organs, help regulate menstruation, speed up blood circulation in the pelvic organs, reduce congestion of the pelvic and abdominal gonads, and reduce symptoms such as abdominal pain during menstruation.

However, it should be noted that if the menstrual flow is too heavy in the first two days of your period, it is better to rest and do simple meditation or breathing exercises.

Yoga is a kind of exercise that regulates the body and mind. We should feel it and enjoy it with a relaxed attitude. Dysmenorrhea is not terrible. What is terrible is our attitude towards it. Nowadays, many adolescent girls suffer from dysmenorrhea, which often makes them feel miserable. In addition to taking some measures during menstruation, such as taking medicine or resting in bed, they should also do some relaxing exercises. The best way is to practice yoga.
